Claire Crause is a New York based artist with a strong passion for movement. She has performed works by Gallim Dance Company's Andrea Miller and Batsheva Dance Company's Bosmat Nossan, among many others including Peter Sparling, Amy Chavasse, Alex Springer and Xan Burley, and Robin Wilson.
Crause dances with the NYC based LLMoves Dance Company under the artistic direction of Lindsey Miller. She has performed with LLMoves at the United Nations, Jennifer Muller's HATCH, Footprints Modern Dance Festival, and the Actor's Fund. Crause has also performed original choreography at Symphony Space, the Mark Morris Dance Center, and at Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor, MI.
Aside from concert dance Crause has a background in Musical Theater, studies voice, and plays the violin. Happiest when she is improvising, Crause constantly experiments with new textures of moving and ways of storytelling. She holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Michigan, along with a minor in Movement Science. Forever Go Blue!
