
BEHIND THE ARTIST
Claire was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and is currently based in New York City. Credits include Jagged Little Pill - First National Tour, Drag: The Musical (Bourbon Room Hollywood), Footloose (Kennedy Center, D.C), "Only Human" music video (Jonas Brothers), "Gone Forgotten Year" music video (Justin Anthony Long), among others. She has performed several works by Spencer Liff, as well as works by Steven Blandino, Mimi Scardulla, and Tyler Hanes. She was featured in Dance Teacher Magazine in a partnering segment with Lauren and Christopher Grant. Claire is represented by the CESD Dance division and Print Modeling division, and is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association.

She holds a BFA in Dance and a minor in Movement Science from the University of Michigan, where she performed works by Gallim Dance Company's Andrea Miller and Batsheva Dance Company's Bosmat Nossan, among others including Peter Sparling, Amy Chavasse, Alex Springer and Xan Burley, and Robin Wilson.
Claire is a choreographer and dance teacher, and has set several original works for Elite Dance Force of Michigan. She has performed original choreography at Symphony Space, the Mark Morris Dance Center, and at Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor, MI. Outside of performing Crause plays the violin and teaches fitness and dance, and has her own photography business, Claire Crause Photography.
